The Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) filed an immediate indictment against Predrag Bošković, Budimir Šegrt and ten other officials of the former government due to the basic suspicion that they abused their official position due to the allocation of apartments and housing loans as members of the former commission of the Government of Montenegro.
They are suspected of having damaged the budget of Montenegro by two million and 600 thousand euros.
The Code of Criminal Procedure on the filing of an immediate indictment states that "the state prosecutor will not conduct an investigation if the collected data relating to the criminal offense and the defendant, who was previously heard, provide sufficient grounds for the issuance of an immediate indictment."

The spokesman of the SDT, prosecutor Vukas Radonjić, announced that the prosecution has today submitted an indictment against the defendants Predrag Bošković, Budimir Šegrt, Suad Numanović, to the Special Department for Trials of Criminal Offenses of Organized Crime, Corruption, Terrorism and War Crimes of the High Court in Podgorica. Sanja Vlahović, Ivana Brajović, Dražen Miličković, Damir Šehović, Dragica Sekulić, Osman Nurković, Suzana Pribilović, Jelena Radonjić and Aleksander Jovićević, due to the existence of well-founded suspicions that, in the period from 2016 to 2020, as members of the Commission for Housing Issues The Government of Montenegro, as a co-perpetrator, committed a prolonged criminal offense of abuse of official position, for which a prison sentence of two to 12 years is prescribed.
"The defendants are charged with the fact that, contrary to the Decision on the method and criteria for solving the housing needs of officials, which stipulated that the solution of housing needs is realized according to the plan for solving housing needs that contains the amount of funds for granting loans to improve housing conditions, that can grant a loan for the improvement of housing conditions in the amount of up to 15.000 euros, and that the amount of the loan is determined based on the scope of works assessed by the expert committee of the then Administration for Property, without a plan for solving housing needs and assessment by the expert committee of the Administration, approved and granted housing loans for improvement of living conditions for 119 public officials and employees in state bodies and state administration bodies, in amounts between 17.500 and 40.000 euros, thus benefiting them and causing damage to the budget of Montenegro, in the total amount of 2.604,740,59 euros. explained Radonjić.
The prosecutor adds that previously, during the investigation, it was established that 49 loans in the amount of EUR 40.000 each, five loans in the amount of EUR 35.000 each, 20 loans in the amount of EUR 30.000 each, 30 loans in the amount of EUR 20.000 each, were approved and granted. 10 loans of 25.000 euros each, but also loans in the amounts of 29.500 euros, 28.000 euros, 25.920,76 euros...
"In addition, some loans in the amount of 40.000 euros were granted to public officials who, in their requests for solving housing needs, asked the Commission for amounts of 30.000 euros, and the obvious excess of the submitted requests is in contradiction with the Law on Administrative Procedure and the judicial practice of the Administrative Court After the investigation was completed, and before the indictment was filed, the state prosecutor made a decision that the proceedings against the suspects PB, D.Š., DS, ON, SP, JR, AJ, and DM, for the prolonged criminal offense of abuse of official position , after supplementing the criminal report of the Government of Montenegro, the subject of which is the improper allocation of apartments to public officials for lease, with the right to purchase under favorable conditions, separate and separately complete, for reasons of expediency," he announced.
