Bošković: We are sure of a final court verdict of acquittal if the actual proceedings take place

Predrag Bošković, a member of the presidency of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), said that he "will be able to put an end to the story about the allocation of apartments and housing loans by the Government of Montenegro's commission through possible court proceedings".

The Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) filed an immediate indictment against Bošković, Budimir Šegrt and ten other officials of the former government due to the basic suspicion that they abused their official position for the allocation of apartments and housing loans as members of the former commission of the Government of Montenegro.

Bošković also stated in the press release that none of the members of that commission "made any decision in the cases for which we are accused".

"For more than two years, and whenever the outgoing prime minister needs to divert attention from his inactions, the public is bombarded with pompous half-information aimed at trying to compromise me personally, as well as the honorable people with whom I cooperated, all with the intention of inflicting political damage to us as well as to the parties we belong to. And this time I emphasize that everything we did as a commission was in accordance with positive legal regulations aimed at enabling or helping to solve housing issues of employees in the state administration," he stated Boskovic.

He also stated that everything the members of the commission have and know about the specific case they will announce in the procedure that will potentially follow.

"Finally, I would like to point out that we are sure of a legally binding acquittal court verdict if the actual proceedings take place, and then we will take steps to protect our personalities from persecution by the outgoing Government and its Prime Minister, when we will fight against all those who participated in to initiate appropriate proceedings against this obvious political farce," said Bošković.
