Due to alleged disagreements with Bajčet, Ljekočević asked to be transferred to another cell in the prison in Spuz

Ljekočević left the detention cell of the Investigation Prison in Spuz shared by three policemen arrested for drug smuggling in different actions - Dalibor Ljekočević (36), Vladimir Bajčeta (43) and Dragan Kojović (46), allegedly because of disagreements with Bajčeta.

An interlocutor from the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions confirmed the information to "Vijesti" that ten days ago Ljekočević requested and received a transfer to another cell.

However, he claims that this was not preceded by a conflict between an arrested officer of the Podgorica Security Department and a former police special officer.

"Ljekočević asked to be moved to another room, which he explained. There are no allegations that there was a physical confrontation between them, nor were any injuries found on any detainee," said the "Vijesti" interlocutor.

Ljekočević, an arrested officer of the Podgorica Security Department, was handcuffed by his colleagues on February 8, 2023. The warrant for his arrest came from the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, which accuses him of selling heroin to the defendant Natalija Konatar once a month in the period from September 2021 to the end of the same month in 2022, and that in November and December last year, sold the same prohibited substance to an undercover investigator.

Ljekočević's brother David, Damir Kuč and Stefan Stefanović were also arrested in the operation "Lovka". In addition to them, the defendants in the same case are Kosovar Šutaj Turkjan and Natalija Konatar, a native of Belgrade living in Podgorica.

Bajčeta, former police special officer and bodyguard of escaped Pljevljak Duško Šarić, was arrested on March 16, 2023 in an operation that, according to investigators, broke up the police drug cartel.

The criminal group of which, according to the claims of SDT and Bajčet, he was a member, was formed by the head of the Kavac clan, Radoje Zvicer, who is on the run, and the fugitive policeman Ljubo Milović.

In the files of the SDT, it is written that the crime team used the money obtained from international cocaine smuggling to influence the results of the parliamentary elections held in August 2020, as well as to appoint trusted people to leading positions in the Police Directorate.

The police drug cartel is accused of smuggling at least three tons of cocaine with their associates, intimidating members of other criminal clans, witnesses and passing confidential information to the heads of the Kavac criminal clan.
