There is operational knowledge that the head of the Security Information Agency (BIA) of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, is particularly close to the Skaljar criminal ring, says the interlocutor. portal Nova.rs.

On July 11, Vulin was blacklisted by the United States of America (USA), it was announced on the website of the US Department of Finance, and the explanation states that he is involved in "international organized crime, illegal drug trade and abuse of public office".

The Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime in Belgrade announced on July 14 that it will seek additional information related to Vulin.

"Under the auspices of Vučić's government, Vulin will certainly not be prosecuted, so calling the US to provide evidence of the claims for which they imposed sanctions on him can only be characterized as reckless. The American administration knows very well what the government has been covering up about Vulin all these years, and it will certainly not deliver something that could contaminate Vučić's judiciary with some fictitious procedure. Because we should not forget that the same crimes cannot be tried twice," a well-informed source told Nova.

He adds that the list of Vulin's suspicious actions and illegal actions has increased drastically in recent years, and that the case of the "aunt from Canada" is now just a small thing, compared to everything else, which would have to become the subject of an extensive investigation.

"There is operational knowledge that Vulin had contacts with organized criminal groups, both in Serbia and in the region, and that he is particularly close to one of the two most notorious - the Montenegrin Škaljar clan, but also to all its branches. Contacts with this group, whose leaders killed all over the world in recent years, intensified after the 2020 elections, when he became the Minister of Police, but also continued when he exchanged portfolios with Bratislav Gašić and moved to the BIA," says Nova's interlocutor.

He notes that these findings are all the more interesting, if they are viewed in the context of the circumstances that were in force at the time when Vulin's predecessors, Nebojša Stefanović and Dijana Hrkalović, ransacked the MUP.

"One of the famous declarations of the war on the mafia resulted in the impression that the Serbian police were mainly targeting members of the Skaljar clan, many of whom were liquidated on the streets of Belgrade, mostly during the black 2018. On the other hand, unhindered, and according to many critics of the authorities, accelerated growth of the "kavchan" eventually gave birth to the Belivuk-Miljković clan, which is now accused of the most monstrous crimes ever committed in this area. Their persecution, as well as the persecution of the "kavchan", began precisely with Vulin's arrival at the head of the MUP, while every story about "Skaljarcima" suddenly disappeared", Nova's interlocutor says.

That connections with the mafia are not excluded, as Nova's interlocutor says, is also confirmed by the most famous affair of this socialist-capitalist about the purchase of an apartment and the lack of evidence about the origin of the money.

"The aunt from Canada has become an urban legend, so the question arises, with what right does the top government call on the USA to provide them with evidence of their claims, when they did nothing with the evidence they had on the table. It is terrible that the the Serbian prosecutor's office, which didn't even do anything for my aunt back then," says Nova's interlocutor.

Speaking about Vulin's connections with narcotics, that interlocutor also referred to what had to be cleaned up in the yard from the start.

"The fact that in the Super Marija suit he was weeding vegetables on "Jovanjica", which became famous as the largest drug plantation in this part of Europe, connected him to the production of drugs, which we heard last Sunday at the trial that it was an organized state project . Bearing all that in mind, the story of Vulin being sanctioned because of his views in Russia is, to say the least, offensive. It is not excluded that this has also become clear to the authorities in the meantime, so two days ago they resorted to a proven trump card to divert attention and deal with the Western factor. - by the glorification of war criminals. Now the students are on the move, who should tell Vulin what they think about his scholarship project of two female students from Sarajevo, who glorified Ratko Mladić," concludes Nova's interlocutor.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on July 12 that American sanctions against Vulin were not imposed because of any crime and corruption, but because of his relationship with Russia.

Female students of the Faculty of Criminology, Criminology and Security Studies of the University of Sarajevo, who glorified war criminals and spread hatred on July 11, the anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, will continue their education in the capital of Serbia.

This was stated by the general manager of "Sarajevo-gas" Nedeljko Elek on July 15 and added that, at the invitation of Vulin, the two will continue their studies at the National Security Academy in Belgrade.
