The police registered 59 traffic accidents on Montenegrin roads during the weekend, in which one person died, four suffered serious injuries, and 19 suffered minor injuries.
As announced by the Police Administration, during the weekend, their agents filed 164 misdemeanor reports, issued 1.093 misdemeanor warrants, confiscated 15 pairs of license plates and excluded the same number of vehicles from traffic.
"Due to driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, the police deprived 55 drivers of their freedom, 11 of them in Podgorica, nine in Bar and seven in Herceg Novi," the announcement states.
The police administration appeals to all traffic participants to respect traffic regulations and thereby contribute to both personal and other traffic participants' safety.
