On the territory of Podgorica, in the previous 20 days, 81 drivers were arrested for traffic violations, the Police Administration (UP) announced.
The officers of the Department of Security (OB) reportedly arrested 81 drivers on the territory of the Capital City for driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as for speeding in and out of populated areas.
"The traffic police in Podgorica detained 39 drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol in a concentration greater than 1,00 g/kg, while misdemeanor charges were filed against 90 drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol, and 29 of them misdemeanor warrants were issued," the UP said.
It is added that in the area of speed control in the area of Podgorica, in the same period of time, 42 drivers were arrested for speeding in populated areas and outside populated areas.
"The traffic police filed misdemeanor charges against 164 drivers for speeding in built-up and non-built-up areas, while 594 drivers were issued misdemeanor charges for the aforementioned traffic violation," said UP.
