The Nikšić police found five rifles, ammunition and explosives after conducting a search of buildings in the town of Ubla near DG (44), the Police Administration (UP) announced.
"The M-70 B1 automatic rifle, the so-called "drummer" automatic rifle, the M-IŽ 12 hunting rifle, a rifle with the inscription "Roma", a Herstal-Belgium rifle with an optical sight, about 1,5 kilograms of explosives were found , 212 pieces of rifle ammunition of different calibers, 41 pieces of hunting ammunition, seven pieces of detonator caps, four automatic rifle frames, a drum frame, a military bayonet in a metal sheath and 22 pieces of maneuver rifle ammunition," the statement said.
The UP said that weapons, ammunition and explosives will be sent to the UP Forensic Center for expert examination, by order of the state prosecutor of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Nikšić.
After that, as it was said, they will carry out the legal qualification of the event.
"We especially point out that during August the officers of the Regional Security Center "Zapad" found and temporarily confiscated 24 firearms, 1.076 pieces of ammunition of different calibers, three anti-aircraft bullets, 15 kilograms of explosives, a bomb, 1,2 kilograms of gunpowder, 60 pieces of electric detonator cartridges, 275 detonator cartridges, about 150 meters of slow-burning stick, 32 cartridges for hunting cartridges, weapon parts intended for the manufacture and modification of weapons and several pieces of various spare parts for firearms," said the UP.
"Five persons were prosecuted by the competent prosecutor's offices for the crime of illegal possession of weapons and explosive substances, while in other cases, the competent state prosecutors will decide on the possible legal qualification of the crime after the expert examination at the Forensic Center," they concluded.
