Katnić: The state's lawsuit against me is groundless

The former chief special prosecutor Milivoje Katnić said that the lawsuit of the State of Montenegro against him is baseless.

He told the RTCG portal that he believes this will be proven in the upcoming proceedings.

The state sued Katnić for 11.525,67 euros for recourse compensation, in the name of non-material damages paid as a result of the violation of the right to psychological integrity, the right to honor, reputation, the protection of private life, the right to dignity, correspondence, personal records, as well as the rights and personalities of lawyers Goran Rodić, Sinisa Gazivoda and Marija Radulović. This was announced by the Basic Court in Podgorica on Friday evening.

Katnić said that he currently has no income, and that he was not even given a pension.

"That's all because I published those things publicly, and I didn't bluff like some so that it turns out that investigative journalists, Marko and Janko, published it, but I wrote everything I thought. It will all be seen in the proceedings. I made it possible for returned to the state over seven million that A2A had illegally taken from the state, that is, Elektroprivreda, and the state was the majority owner. So, I returned seven million euros to the state that would never have been returned if I had not been a manager at SDT. Only in that case. And here you see, now they want to take 11.500 euros from me. The lawsuit is groundless," said Katnić for the RTCG portal.
