Before the start of the protest of the Independent Police Union in front of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP), there was a verbal clash between the line minister Filip Adžić and the president of the union Igor Rmandić.
The union is protesting for better working conditions, while Adžić claims that their protests are politically motivated.
He was greeted in front of the ministry with whistles and shouts. In the videos, you can hear them hurling insults at him.
Adžić told Rmandić that they are deceiving the public and that they are being sent by "those against whom you were not allowed to rebel for 30 years".
"You received twice as much salary, your voice was not heard. For seven years you wore torn uniforms, your voice was not heard. Now that we have provided all the prerequisites, made a rulebook and regulation, provided funds, now you are taking care of the uniforms," he said. Adžić told Rmandić that he was trying to use the death of his colleague and the employment of his wife in order to promote the work of the trade union.
Rmandić replied to Adžić that his "criminal activities that you do while sitting in the minister's chair exceed all measures of good taste", to which Adžić replied that it was "just a politician's story" again.
He also pointed out that he protested for all 27 years of his service, that he was never silent and claims that he brought evidence of crime in the Police Administration Union to the Ministry.
"What did you do to initiate this? I sincerely and from the bottom of my heart mourn my murdered colleague and fight for his family. And I sent you a letter where I clearly indicated how you are going to hire his wife," Rmandić said.
