The Revenue and Customs Administration (UPC) announced that during the weekend and at the beginning of the week, it confiscated cigarettes and other goods with a total value of almost 20.000 euros.

The press release added that last weekend, UPC officers carried out increased controls in order to suppress the illegal movement of goods across the state border.

"At the Podgorica customs terminal, 160.000 pieces of undeclared cigarettes were found during the control of containers with cigarettes. During the control of passenger vehicles at the entrance to Montenegro, at the Božaj border crossing on September 23 and 24, undeclared goods were discovered - eight kilograms of cut tobacco, 168 kilograms of honey and 40 liters of olive oil. Also, at the Dračenovac border crossing in three separate cases, during the control of passenger vehicles, undeclared goods were discovered - eight pieces of video surveillance cameras, 30 liters of wine, 40 boxes of the antibiotic Amoxicillin of 500 milligrams," said the UPC.
