The Supreme Court of Montenegro put an end to the case of possible dismissal of the head of the Podgorica Higher Prosecutor's Office, Lepa Medenica, due to allegedly inappropriate influence on the then subordinate prosecutors Vukas Radonjić and Nikola Boričić in the case of the lifting of the entry ban on Veljko Belivuk and Marko Miljković, TV Vijesti has learned.
Thus, the highest court confirmed the decision of the Prosecutor's Council from June 15 and rejected as unfounded the appeal of the deputy disciplinary prosecutor Tanja Nišavić.
Let us remind you that in June the Prosecutor's Council refused to decide on the proposal for the dismissal of Lepa Medenica, which was initiated by the Minister of Justice Marko Kovač, due to the shortcomings of the indictment.
In the motion for Medenica's dismissal, it was stated that she behaved inappropriately towards prosecutors Radonjić and Boricić, after Radonjić issued an arrest warrant for police officers who allegedly participated in lifting the ban on entry into the country of members of the organized crime group Belivuk and Miljković.
Radonjić stated in the official note that Medenica called him after midnight and said in a raised tone: "Vukas, who did you arrest, release them immediately."
