Senior State Prosecutor Hasan Lukač tonight ordered the detention of up to 72 hours for Elmaz Beganović (39) from the Nedakusi settlement near Bijelo Polje, who is suspected of murdering his brother Elvis Beganović (37), after the hearing.
After a family quarrel, last night around 21 pm, Elmaz Beganović stabbed his brother in the neck area with a kitchen knife with a blade length of 20 centimeters.
Elvis Beganović was brought to the Emergency Medical Service without signs of life.
Suspect Elmaz was arrested last night while he was behind a building in the hospital grounds.
"In front of the family house of B., in the village of Nedakusi, an investigation was carried out, reports were collected from several persons, and the police came to suspect that, after a brief discussion, EB (38) from Bijelo Polje had hit him with a kitchen knife , with a blade length of 20 cm, in the area of the right side of the neck of brother EB (37), who died from his injuries," the Police Administration said in a statement.
State Prosecutor Lukač ordered the exhumation of the body, after which the cause of death will be known.
