Mladen Janković from Podgorica was sent to the remand prison in Spuž by the decision of the judge for the investigation of the Basic Court in Podgorica, on suspicion of setting fire to a car on May 9.
As announced by the Basic Court, he was remanded in custody for 30 days due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of causing general danger.
It is said that his detention was ordered due to the risk of escape and the risk of repeating the criminal act.
"The investigating judge of the Basic Court in Podgorica ordered the detention of the suspect MJ, who is accused of having committed the criminal offense of causing public danger by setting fire to a Mercedes vehicle, which spread to three other vehicles. The detention was ordered due to circumstances that indicate that the suspect could run away and be unavailable to the state authorities, since he was a person for whom a warrant had already been issued, and for whom he could not be deprived of his liberty because he was hiding and falsely presenting himself. due to the danger of repeating the crime, because this is a person who has already been convicted of criminal acts of violent behavior and illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials, so it is obvious that he is prone to committing criminal acts," the court's announcement reads.
They said that according to this decision, the suspect can be detained for a maximum of thirty days.
