After the hearing at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, Petar Belojević (34), suspected of brutally beating Miloš Jovanović (34), was released, Vijesti has learned.
Earlier today, Belojević surrendered to the inspectors of the Podgorica Security Department, after which he was taken to the prosecutor's office for questioning.
The prosecutor on duty, despite the recording of the assault on a fellow citizen, let him defend himself from freedom, an interlocutor involved in the investigation told "Vijesta".
The Police Administration announced earlier today that Belojević is being charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
They explained that, as is suspected, he physically attacked Jovanović in the night between November 7 and 8, in front of a bar in the center of Podgorica:
"...By hitting him in the head area with a glass bottle, as a result of which the victim was knocked down on the asphalt surface, then he hit him several times with his hands and feet in the head and body area. After that, PB hit the victim again with a glass with a bottle in the area of the head, and then with a chair that was nearby, in the area of the head and body. the report of a specialist doctor at the Clinical Center of Montenegro," said the Police Administration.

They pointed out that an investigation was carried out on the spot, that footage from surveillance cameras was extracted, information was collected from eyewitnesses of the event and an interview was conducted with the injured party.
