The President of the Basic Court in Berane and the investigating judge Ivan V. Došljak ordered Petar Gojković (30), suspected of causing serious injuries to Slobodan Đukić (28), to be detained for up to 31 days.
The secretary of the court, spokeswoman Ana Radunović, announced that the detention was ordered due to the danger of escape and possible influence on the witnesses.
Gojković is charged with a criminal offense - grievous bodily harm.
Radunović announced that the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane charges the suspect that on November 4, around 2:30 a.m., on the asphalt extension near the "Most" restaurant in Andrijevica, he caused serious bodily injuries to the injured party, "so severely that as a result his life was brought to danger":
"In the way that he repeatedly punched him in the head area with clenched fists, as a result of which the injured party fell and hit his head on the hard asphalt surface, and on that occasion suffered serious physical injuries in the form of brain contusion, multiple tooth fractures in the upper and lower jaw, bruises the skull, smaller lacerous wounds in the occipital part of the head, about 1 x 1 cm in size, and several hematomas in the area of both upper arms of a circular shape, which are about 1 to 2 cm in diameter," the statement said.
