Bjelopolje police filed criminal charges against two people on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of abuse of official position and against one person for forest theft, the Police Administration announced.

"NM committed the criminal offense charged against him in such a way that, in his capacity as an official, by not performing his official duties in accordance with his powers, as the head of the Regional Unit of the Management of Forests and Hunting Grounds PJ Mojkovac, he obtained benefits for unknown persons by, after the expiration of the deed contract, N. Č., who performed the duties of a forest guard in the economic unit Lepenac - Palješka gora, did not provide forest protection in that economic unit. Also, NM did not release N. Č. from the debt on the day when his deed contract expired. made it possible for him to continue working," the announcement states.
The Police Administration said that it is suspected that N. Č. committed the criminal offense by not recording or reporting illegal felling of forests in the amount of 473 pieces of beech trees and 26 fir trees, with a total gross mass of 432,46 m3.
"In this way, the suspects caused damage to the Management of Forests and Hunting Grounds of PJ Mojkovac in the amount of 25.595 euros," said the Police Directorate.
In addition, a criminal complaint was filed against V.Ć. (50). He is charged with the criminal offense of forest theft.
"It is suspected that at the beginning of November, he illegally cut down 31 beech trees, with a total gross mass of 36,85 m3, in the state forest, in which way he caused damage to the Management of Forests and Hunting Grounds PJ Mojkovac in the amount of 2.239 euros," the statement of the Management concluded. of the police.
