Three people arrested for attempted murder in Cetinje

Three people were arrested this morning for attempted murder in Cetinje on September 13.

According to "Vijesti" knowledge, it is being done to a high-ranking member of the criminal clan and two people who are listed in police records as being close to that criminal organization.

Blažo Pejović (34), Vukan Vujačić (28) and Vlado Vulićević (28) were arrested, and the arrest was carried out by officers of the anti-crime sector headed by the assistant director of UP Lazar Šćepanović.

They are suspected of trying to place an improvised explosive device under the Toyota Rav4 car used by Gojko Simović from Cetinje.

In Šćepanović's announcement, it is stated that the officers of the Anti-Crime Sector, in cooperation with the officers of the Regional Security Center "Centar", with the support of units of the Special Purpose Police Sector, in the early hours of the morning conducted a search of facilities used by members of organized criminal groups and persons of security interest in seven locations on the territory of Cetinje.

"The officers of the Anti-Crime Sector and the Regional Security Center 'Centar', based on operational tactical measures and actions in cooperation with the Danilovgrad Forensic Center, and in coordination with the Senior Acting State Prosecutor in Podgorica, during a comprehensive police-prosecutorial investigation, shed light on a serious crime, after which was followed this morning by the arrest of members of criminal groups. The action followed the realization of the deprivation of liberty of the suspects and the clarification of the criminal offense of attempted murder, which was committed on September 13, 2023, by placing an improvised explosive device of great destructive power under the vehicle "Toyota Rav 4", owned by the person GS from Cetinje", announced Šćapanović.

He adds that BP, VV and VV, along with criminal charges, will be brought to the Higher State Prosecutor in Podgorica for further jurisdiction.

"Two suspects are listed in the police records as persons of operational interest close to a criminal group, while one person is a high-ranking member of a criminal group. The police administration, as a reliable partner in the security system, will continue the determined fight against crime with a primary focus on neutralizing the activities of organized criminal groups and persons associated with them in order to create a favorable security environment for citizens," Šćepanović said.
