Predrag Mirotić, one of the suspects for complicity in breaking into the depot of the Podgorica High Court, will defend himself from the charge that he helped the tunnel diggers, "Vijesti" has learned.
His detention was terminated by the decision of the Supreme Court.
Mirotić was arrested on September 23, by order of the basic state prosecutor Marko Mugoša, on suspicion of helping members of a criminal group, which during August dug a tunnel from the basement at Njegoševa 12 to the court room where the evidence is kept.
That man from Podgorica is suspected of driving the tunnel diggers from Zabjelo to the city center, when they were going to build an underground passage to the High Court depot.
According to the same unofficial information, he was their point of contact, helped them stay in Podgorica unhindered and provided them with the tools they used to rob the courtroom.
He was handcuffed after the police and Podgorica prosecutors used evidence to link him with fugitive Serbian citizens and Katarina Baćović from Podgorica.
Because of the suspicion that they were involved in that criminal business, on Mugoša's orders, in addition to Mirotić and Katarina Baćović, Ivica Piperović, Nikola Milačić and Marijan Vuljaj were also arrested.
One of the suspected tunnel diggers, Vladimir Erić from Loznica, was arrested at Stockholm airport while trying to board a flight to Belgrade.
The police are still looking for his fellow citizens Dejan Jovanović, Veljko Marković and his uncle Milan Marković.
