Vojin Prenkić and Dušan Klikovac from Zeć were detained for up to 72 hours after hearing at the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, TV Vijesti has learned.
They denied committing the crimes of assault on an official in the performance of official duties and illegal hunting.
Prenkić and Klikovac were arrested yesterday on suspicion of attacking two gamekeepers of the Skadar Lake National Park, Vuk Saičić and Marko Gluščević, and slightly injuring them the night before last.
Due to his participation in the incident at the lake, the monk Filip from the Kom monastery, who, according to Saičić, insulted the supervisors, threatened them, and then stole the phone he was using to record him and threw it into the lake, will be charged with a misdemeanor.
The Kom monastery announced yesterday that their monk was not in the company of Prenkić and Klikovac and that he was fishing on his own at the time of the incident, that he did not threaten anyone, nor did he steal Saičić's phone, but that he reacted when he heard calls for help and came over to helped, and that his presence contributed to ending the incident.
