Prenkić and Klikovac detained for up to 30 days

The judge for the investigation of the Basic Court in Podgorica sentenced Vojin Prenkić and Dušan Klikovac to custody for up to 30 days for attacking supervisors at Skadar Lake and illegal fishing.

As announced by the Basic Court in Podgorica, custody was ordered for Klikovac due to the risk of repeating the crime and influencing the witness, and the suspect Prenkić due to the risk of influencing the witness.

They are suspected of having committed the criminal offense of assaulting an official in the performance of official duties, in addition to the criminal offense of illegal fishing.

"The investigating judge of the Basic Court in Podgorica ordered the custody of the suspects DK and VP due to the well-founded suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of assaulting an official in the performance of his official duties, in conjunction with the criminal offense of illegal fishing. In relation to the suspect DK, custody was ordered due to danger from repeating the crime, since it is about a person who was previously convicted of a criminal offense with elements of violence, and who, according to his own account, caught fish illegally, claiming that it was a misdemeanor, while the injured parties claim that they saw that in the suspect's boat, he found a battery and a power converter, which indicates the suspect's demonstrated persistence in fishing in a way that is against the law, and in addition, the suspect's unscrupulousness stems from the allegation of the injured party that the suspect used the same in a manner suitable for the victim's body to be severely damaged injures and impairs health," reads the announcement of the Basic Court in Podgorica.

It is added that DK and VP are ordered to be detained on the basis of detention, which concerns the danger of interfering with the proceedings by influencing the witness IK, an eyewitness to a part of the event.

"Since they themselves know this witness, with whom they are otherwise related and know where he lives," the announcement reads.

Prenkić and Klikovac were arrested two days ago on suspicion of attacking two gamekeepers of the Skadar Lake National Park, Vuk Saičić and Marko Gluščević, and slightly injuring them.

Due to his participation in the incident at the lake, the monk Filip from the Kom monastery, who, according to Saičić, insulted the supervisors, threatened them, and then stole the phone he was using to record him and threw it into the lake, will be charged with a misdemeanor.

The Kom monastery announced yesterday that their monk was not in the company of Prenkić and Klikovac and that he was fishing on his own at the time of the incident, that he did not threaten anyone, nor did he steal Saičić's phone, but that he reacted when he heard calls for help and came over to helped, and that his presence contributed to ending the incident.
