Three more people were arrested in the operation of the Special State Prosecutor's Office and the Special Police Unit aimed at cracking down on cigarette smuggling.
According to "Vijesti" information, there are other members of the Police Administration among those arrested.
"This morning, the measures and actions of the Special State Prosecutor's Office and the police continued and three more persons were deprived of their freedom, that is, as of yesterday, a total of 11," the prosecutor and spokesman for that prosecution, Vukas Radonjić, replied to "Vijesta".
Several luxury four-wheelers were taken from those arrested this morning.
According to "Vijesti" information, among those arrested are Milenko Mića Rabrenović, Milan Rogač from Nikšić and Mileta Simanić from Nikšić.
A new series of arrests began at dawn this morning - by order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, several people were arrested in Podgorica and Nkšić.
Officers of the Special Police Department arrested persons who are believed to be "arms of the gang from Grand in cigarette smuggling", which has been operating through Luka Bar for years.
The SPO also made arrests in Nikšić, and according to unofficial information from Vijesta, some officers of the Police Administration are among those deprived of liberty.
Aleksandar Aco Mijajlović, Golub Vojinović, Dejan Jokić, border police commander Dragan Backović, Marko Mijušković, Radoje Rabrenović and Milan Vukadinović were arrested yesterday.
The SPO also arrested Zoran Žuto Đukanović in Nikšić last night.
SDT accuses them of having committed criminal acts - creation of a criminal organization and prolonged criminal offense of smuggling.
