With today's appointment of Predrag Burić as inspector general of the National Security Agency (ANB), Prime Minister Milojko Spajić continues to violate the law, this time the Law on the National Security Agency, said the vice-president of the Citizens' Movement URA Filip Adžić.
He said that not all prescribed procedures from Article 27a of the Law on ANB and the procedures provided for by the Agency's by-laws for the admission of candidates were implemented.
"By appointing Burić, their desire was obviously to pre-empt the decision of the Administrative Court on the illegal dismissal of Artan Kurti from that position," said Adžić.
"Today's appointment of Burić, who is a long-time friend of Spajić's uncle Sreten Kankaraš, who plays the biggest role in appointing personnel in Montenegrin institutions, especially in the security sector, shows that the story of meritocracy has been shattered," Adžić concluded.
