Dapčević was detained due to the risk of escape

Dimitrije Dapčević, a lawyer from Budva, was detained for up to 72 hours, due to the risk of escape, state prosecutor and spokesman of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) Vukas Radonjić told "Vijstim".

Dapčević was arrested yesterday on suspicion of being connected to the laundering of 2,6 million euros and was questioned this morning in the SDT.

"The special prosecutor interrogated the suspect, in the presence of selected defense counsel. The suspect presented his defense and did not answer questions, and after the hearing he was detained due to the existence of circumstances indicating a risk of escape," said Radonjić.

Dapčević was detained yesterday by members of the Special Police Department on suspicion of having committed a criminal offense - creating a criminal organization and several criminal offenses of money laundering...

"Vijesti" announced this morning that SDT, according to unofficial information, accuses Dapčević of "laundering" at least 2,6 million euros for the fugitive head of the Kavačac clan, Radoj Zvicer.
