"To say the least, the news from yesterday that the police arrested a man with 26 kg of marijuana and that the Higher State Prosecutor's Office released him to defend himself is shocking, to say the least. Shocking, but only for those who do not live in our country. Citizens of Montenegro have long been something like this cannot come as a surprise. We are used to certain judges and prosecutors being our 'best friends', but also zealous protectors of criminals of all levels. Admittedly, until now they have skillfully hid or at least tried to hide. As of yesterday, even hiding is no longer the case. necessary. It completely openly sides with the man who was caught with drugs that will make many children and families unhappy," the Independent Police Union said in a statement.
The announcement states that blatant and arrogant flouting of the law and protection of criminals must not go unanswered by the state.
"We are looking for a reaction and a clear position on this issue from Prime Minister Spajić, Minister of Justice Milović, Supreme State Prosecutor Marković, Minister of Internal Affairs Šaranović and Director of the Police Directorate Radović.
