BOK seeks protection for "special"

Members of the Bureau for Operational Coordination (BOK) demanded from the competent authorities of the intelligence and security sector to raise the level of protection and security for the most responsible, especially in the Special State Prosecutor's Office and the Special Police Department.

BOK, he writes, affirmed the excellent cooperation of intelligence and security sector authorities, the special state prosecutor's office, other competent prosecutor's offices and international partners, which results in continuous extremely notable results in the field of decisive fight against organized crime and corruption.

BOK highlights the enormous contribution of members of the intelligence and security sector and other competent authorities who professionally and courageously carry out activities to identify and prosecute perpetrators of criminal acts.

BOK coordinator Aleksa Bečić stated in a statement that the body welcomes the intensification and completion of the activities on the drafting of the Rulebook on the control of property, income and lifestyle of police officers, as well as the dynamism of the work of the Department for Internal Control of the MUP, affirming the increased work on control of the existence of security disturbances of police officers, and all previously with the aim of cleaning police structures from links with crime, corruption and other illegal influences.

"The Bureau for Operational Coordination, noting the continuity of security challenges, commends the activities of the Sector for the Fight against Crime (SBPK), regional security centers "South" and "Center", with the assistance of the Army of Montenegro, which resulted in the two deprivations of life in the past months that as a result of the crackdown on organized criminal groups, the suspects were uncovered and deprived of their liberty within a few hours, pointing out that the UP police officers registered 1 criminal offenses in the period from November 1 to April 1907, that a high percentage of crimes by unknown perpetrators were solved ( 77%), and that 95% of registered serious crimes against life and limb (murders and attempted murders) were solved. The BOK states that the interdepartmental working groups led by the MUP as the bearer of the activity, determined the drafts of the Strategy for the fight against transnational crime for the period 2024-2027. and the Strategy for improving traffic safety for the period 2024-2030. year, and that after receiving the necessary opinions from competent domestic and international institutions, they will be forwarded to the Government for further action.
