Defendant Duško Knežević, lawyer Zdavko Đukanović, told "Vijesta" that Knežević will be brought before the judge for the investigation of the High Court in Podgorica at 19:XNUMX p.m.
"Of course, Duško Knežević will deny all the charges brought against him which were the basis for this extradition," said lawyer Đukanović.
He also said that the defense will certainly offer bail if the High Court orders custody, but that he will discuss this with Knežević tonight.
Knežević was extradited to Montenegro from Great Britain today.
The Police Administration (UP) said that he is wanted for conducting several criminal proceedings in Montenegro, due to the suspicion that he has committed criminal acts of abuse of position in business through incitement, abuse of authority in the economy through incitement, creation of a criminal organization and money laundering.
Knežević told "Vijesta" today that he is arriving in Montenegro with a blue bag and that many people are not happy that he is coming.
In 2019, he said that he gave the former president of Montenegro and the Democratic Party of Socialists, Milo Đukanović, the money that was in the blue bag, which Đukanović denied.
