The Police Administration announced that officers of the "North" Regional Security Center, carrying out intensive activities aimed at preventing the commission of criminal acts, confiscated pistols, rifles, ammunition, knives and gas pistols.
"Officials of the Bijelo Polje Security Department searched the apartment and other premises used by persons J.Š., R.Ž., DR, ED, EM, RM and DM and found two rifles, three pistols, 74 pieces of ammunition, four knives, three gas pistols and a metal tool.
After the verbal conflict that occurred between J.Š. and R.Ž., who is with J.Š. caused a feeling of threat, police officers searched the premises used by these persons and from R.Ž. took away a gas pistol, as well as three knives, while from J.Š. took away a hunting rifle, a 9 mm caliber Glock pistol - luger and 50 pieces of 9 mm caliber ammunition," the police announced.
The announcement adds that R.Ž. was deprived of his liberty by order of the prosecutor due to the suspicion that he had committed the criminal offense of jeopardizing security to the detriment of J.Š., and that the prosecutor will subsequently testify in relation to the weapons found.
"Furthermore, due to the suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of violence in the family or family community, DR was deprived of his liberty, after which a 6,3 mm Beretta pistol, as well as a 9 mm CZ pistol, and 10 pieces of ammunition were taken from him. the seized weapon was notified to the competent prosecutor, who will declare the qualification of the offense after the necessary expert examinations.
During a search of the premises used by persons of operational interest ED and EM, in two separate activities, one gas pistol was found, which was confiscated, and misdemeanor warrants were issued to these persons based on the Law on Weapons," the announcement states.
The police announced that the search of the premises used by RM resulted in the finding and confiscation of an M-48 rifle with 14 pieces of ammunition, and the prosecutor was informed of the event, who will carry out the eventual qualification of the criminal offense after the necessary expert examinations.
"In addition, the police in Bijelo Polje controlled the person of DM who was driving an Audi vehicle. A knife and a metal tool were taken from him on that occasion.
