The Special State Prosecutor's Office claims that the group around Djordje Pavićević smuggled cigarettes at least eight times with forged documents from June to November 2020, which Baranin denied during the hearing.
His legal representative, lawyer Zoran Piperović, told "Vijesti" that.
Piperović said that the owner of the Basketball Club Mornar said at the hearing that all the papers were correct and that it was not a question of fake documents.
He explained that the special prosecutor will not ask for detention, but that in the regular procedure he will demand that the arrested Pavićević, Ivana Kovačević, Veljko Đuričić and Nikic Kovačević be ordered to have some of the alternative measures of supervision - a ban on leaving their place of residence, apartment, confiscation of travel documents...
He announced that the defense will oppose it, because, as he said, there is no need for such measures.
