Serbian citizen JP (37), suspected of damaging the competent authorities in Slovakia for over 15 million euros by taking illegal subsidies during the covid pandemic, was today deprived of his liberty in Bar based on an international Interpol warrant, the Police Directorate announced.
"In a joint and coordinated action by officers of the Anti-Crime Sector - NCB Interpol Podgorica and officers of the Bar Security Department on the territory of the municipality of Bar, according to the international warrant of NCB Interpol Bratislava, JP (37) from the Republic of Serbia was detained.
He is wanted at the international level by the Special Criminal Court in Pezinok, for the purpose of conducting criminal proceedings, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of creating, leading and providing support to a criminal group, fraud related to subsidies; legalization of criminal proceeds; falsification and fraud in the way that during the epidemic of the COVID virus he caused financial damage to the competent authorities in Slovakia in the total amount of over 15 million euros, carrying out his criminal activities in the part of taking illegal subsidies during the duration of the COVID pandemic," the statement said.
