Serbian rapper Dragomir Despić (31), better known by his musical name Desingerica, has to leave Montenegro because the Police Directorate temporarily canceled his stay in our country.
According to unofficial information from "Vijesti", Despić did not have a valid work permit, nor did he have a registered residence on the Montenegrin coast, where he performed almost every night this summer.
"I'm sorry that we didn't see each other last night at Top Hill, because I had some paperwork problems. Budva and Montenegro are my second home and of course we don't want to break the laws of that country," Despić said in an address to the audience on social networks.
He started his musical career in 2022 and in a short time gained the attention of the younger audience as well as the regional media.
Due to his controversial performances this summer, public calls could often be heard for Despić to be banned from performing in Montenegro for "promoting wrong values".
At the end of July, after a performance where, in addition to hitting his head with a sneaker, "spitting", he included grating cheese on the audience, the vice-president of the Municipality of Budva, Jasna Dokić, spoke out, demanding that the Belgrade performer be banned from Budva.
"We have to set clear criteria when it comes to events that take place in our city," said the vice-president of the Budva municipality. "We consider the messages and "values" propagated by the mentioned performer to be extremely inappropriate and unacceptable. The city of Budva is a city that supports diversity, but it will never tolerate inappropriate behavior and will not allow such messages to be placed on our youth," said Dokić.
Her appeal was not heard by the restaurateurs in Budva because Desingerica performed almost every day.
