Fifty-five-year-old RP was killed when he detonated a bomb near his house in the Bjelopolje village of Godijevo around nine o'clock this morning.
On that occasion, his wife was injured, and her life is out of danger.
RP left behind seven children and was previously reported for threatening his wife.
"The body of the now deceased was transported to the General Hospital and that the now deceased died on the way to the General Hospital. The body of the deceased was sent for an autopsy, which was ordered by the Higher State Prosecutor's Office," said senior prosecutor in Bijelo Polje Slavenko Smolović.
The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje informed Television Vijesti that in April of this year, the police filed a criminal complaint against him for threatening his wife, when he was detained by the prosecutor. In the end, the report was dismissed because the wife and three children did not want to testify against him.
"Considering that all the witnesses were injured, during the hearing by the state prosecutor, they stated that they would not testify, and since there was no other evidence in the proceedings, especially bearing in mind that the criminal offense, for which a criminal complaint was filed against the suspect, was committed by sending threats injured, and not by inflicting physical injuries, it is a criminal complaint dismissed due to lack of evidence," announced the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje.
However, the Police Administration informed TV Vijesti that the report stated that the wife of the deceased was physically attacked.
"In the report, it was stated that this person physically attacked his wife and addressed threatening words to her while holding an ax in his hands. The police then acted on the report, undertook all activities within their jurisdiction and filed a criminal complaint against this person on suspicion of having committed a criminal offense violence in the family or family community. In addition, in the previous period, in 2005, this person was also prosecuted for the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosive substances", the Police Administration announced.
The High Prosecutor's Office announced that the preliminary results of the investigation will be known after the expert examination at the Forensic Center in Danilovgrad.
