Montenegrin police discovered advertising material in the form of stickers at one of the locations in Podgorica, which contained a QR code related to the possibility of acquiring psychoactive substances.

This was announced to the Parents.me portal in connection with the report from the Center for Civic Education that questionable advertising material had been spotted near schools.

Those who scan the QR code from those ads can access the contacts of the drug dealers.

"On learning about the observation of advertising messages in the form of stickers with a QR code related to the possibility of acquiring psychoactive substances, the officers of the Police Administration took measures and actions within their competence. During a tour of the city area of Podgorica, in one location, disputed advertising material was found and seized, which was displayed in the form of stickers on the pillars of the street infrastructure", said the Police Administration.

In response to the question of whether, as a result of this information, the perpetrators were discovered, the UP stated that police activities in this regard are ongoing.

The Police Administration appealed to parents to, in accordance with their age, talk openly with their children about the risks and consequences of the use of psychoactive substances, with the aim of developing a relationship of trust, in order to inform them freely and in a timely manner about possible observations and problems related to their abuse.

"In addition, it is necessary for the authorities in educational institutions to develop cooperation with parents and in schools to establish clear rules and consequences for the possession and use of psychoactive substances by students, and to increase supervision and the safety of students", stated the Police Administration, saying that in the coming period, they will continuously undertake all measures and actions to suppress the sale and availability of narcotics near educational institutions.

The Center for Civic Education recently submitted an initiative to the Police Directorate for processing cases of the sale of psychoactive substances in the immediate vicinity of educational institutions. As they announced at the time, CGO activists noted that in those places there was advertising material with QR codes with catalogs and contacts for purchasing psychoactive substances.
