Podgorica police arrested MV (52) suspected of building a building without registration and construction documentation.
He was detained for up to 72 hours by the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica.
As announced by the Police Administration, MV is suspected of removing and violating the official seal and sign.
"MV (52) from Podgorica was deprived of his liberty, who, as is suspected, committed the criminal offense charged against him in such a way that on August 23 of the current year, during the inspection by the Urban Planning and Construction Inspection, the execution was found on the cadastral plot in Podgorica in this regard, officials of the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urban Planning and State Property - Urban Construction Inspection issued a measure prohibiting further construction of the building and installed a closed construction site sign and an official tape, after which the works were suspended ", the police announced.
They add that on September 2, while carrying out inspections and controls of the sealed construction site as part of their official duties, the officers of the Urban Construction Inspection established that construction continued at that location, and that workers were present at the construction site carrying out work.
"In addition, it is suspected that despite the sealing of the construction site, MV carried out work on the building on September 4 and 6. MV was brought to the official premises where notifications were collected from him for the record. By order of the prosecutor, who was informed about the event, MV was deprived of his liberty ", concludes the police statement.
