Marija Konatar (34) from Podgorica was arrested today as part of the investigation into the purchase of identity cards before the local elections in Podgorica, which the police found yesterday morning in the possession of suspect Zoran Lakčević from Podgorica.

The Podgorica police took a statement from Konatareva, after which the prosecutor declared that her actions contained elements of a criminal offense, which is being prosecuted ex officio.

The prosecutor from the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica also gave an order to arrest the girl on suspicion of having committed a criminal offense - violation of freedom of choice when voting.

On Thursday, the Basic State Prosecutor's Office ordered Lakčević to be detained for up to 72 hours on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of violating the right to vote.

According to the order of the prosecutor, the police expanded the investigation, so statements were taken from people whose ID cards were found with Lakčević.
