At least 15 people from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia reported during the day to the Podgorica Security Department that their license plates were stolen from their parked cars.
Thefts of license plates occurred during the night but also in the middle of the day in the capital city, where the local election process is underway.
The wave of reports of the disappearance of license plates also coincides with the statements of certain parties that "double voters" arrived in greater numbers from Serbia and Republika Srpska to vote in today's local elections in Podgorica and Kotor.
According to unofficial information, the police assume that the theft of license plates is a kind of citizen's revolt, due to the allegations of the DPS that numerous citizens of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are coming to illegally exercise their right to vote in Montenegro.
"We assume that they are doing this to make it difficult for them to return to their home country," said an interlocutor to Vijesti from OB Podgorica.
