Tomorrow it will be four years since my son Adis Spahić disappeared, who had no criminal record, and we still don't know where his body is. I think that the authorities owe us the truth about that, because he was not collateral damage, but a victim of the prosecutor's office at the time and the system that approved it.
This is what Baranka Mirsada Spahić told "Vijesti" yesterday, who has been trying to find out the truth about the murder of her son, a Bar hairdresser, since October 14, 2020.
Spahić was killed that day in the Stanjević Rupa neighborhood in Danilovgrad.
The mercenaries of the Kavački clan liquidated him after he brought his brother-in-law, Damir Hodžić, a high-ranking member of the opposing Skalja clan, to the house of one of them, Ratko Živković.
"After some time, exactly on August 18, 2021, police officer Milorad Žižić and special prosecutor Saša Čađenović called us for an interview to tell us that he had been killed, and for consolation - that he had not been tortured and that they did not know where the body was, but that they promise to find him. Then they told us that he was killed by Veljko Belivuk and Marko Miljković and their group. Later we found out that they were banned from entering Montenegro," she said.
Spahić adds that she later found out that the two Belgrade criminals entered Montenegro later "with the consent of the state authorities".
"They say my son is collateral damage, and I think he is an innocent victim of the prosecution and the system that approved it. My son was not part of, nor the target of, that criminal group. That day, he just drove the brother-in-law to a certain place, where he told him, and it ended fatally. In the meantime, we found out that his brother-in-law was part of a criminal group, one of those opposed, but no one explains to us why Adis lost his life, when he simply did not belong to that world," said Spahić.
The mother of the murdered Baranin told the authorities that they owe the Spahić family the truth about that crime:
"All we know is that 31 people have been indicted for the murder of Addis and his brother-in-law, but we have no information whether the case has moved on from the starting point. We don't even know if we can expect the guilty to be punished, and when that might happen, and time is running out. It's been four years since nobody told us where to look for the body of our Addis, if they can't find it already. That's why I repeat, the authorities owe us the truth about how we can bury him, so that he may rest in peace, and Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović gives me hope that he will reveal the truth to us."
She explained that they went to three places to look for her son's remains, together with investigators and forensics...
"We had to wait to see if, while digging with excavators, even a bone of my son would appear somewhere, so that they could take it and take it to the grave we bought for him when we were informed that he had been killed," she said.
Double murder
The bodies of the murdered Baran Hodžić and Spahić were initially buried in a pit in the village of Zagreda in Danilovgrad, on a plot of land that was bought by the leader of the Kavac clan, Radoje Zvicer, during the planning of the liquidations. done once more.
This is written in the files of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT), which, since July 19 of last year, has not answered questions about whether they searched for the remains of the tinker Hodžić and his son-in-law Spahić, who did not have a criminal record, in that village.
The SDT wrote details about this in the indictment, which was confirmed by the High Court in Podgorica at the end of July 2024.
Hodžić and Spahić were liquidated after they came with Milo Radulović to the alleged meeting.
The prosecutors claim that Hodžić was killed by Marko Kilibarda, while Veljko Belivuk held him down on the floor, and several of them killed Spahić.
According to SDT files, they were awaited in that house by Živković, Marko Kilibarda, Aleksandar Paunović, Stevan Kraljević, Veljko Belivuk, Nebojša Janković, Marko Miljković, Dejan and Blagoje Gašić and three other members of the organized criminal group the Kavački clan, whose nicknames Sky applications include Rosi, Kortez and Dom.
The prosecutors explain that Živković, originally, on Zvicer's order, had been persuading Radulović to come to the meeting for days, in order to lure him into a trap.
According to the documents, Živković waited for Radulović, Hodžić and Spahić at the Spuška mill that day, after which Radulović got into his car, and the other two followed them in an "Audi A4" to the house in Stanjevića Rupa.
For the murders of Hodžić, his son-in-law Spahić and Radulović, the prosecution charges Radoj Zvicer and 30 members of his crime team.
Prosecutors claim that Milan Vujotić, Slobodan Kašćelan, Nenad Neno Kaluđerović, Belivuk, Miljković, Kraljević, Vladimir Vučković, Ratko Živković, Janković, Darko Prelević, Darko Perović, Kilibarda, Paunović, Milan Knežević, Aleksandar Dragićević, Zoran became members of that criminal organization. Kažić, Aleksandar Ljumović, Radoje Živković, Dragan Knežević, Blagoje Gašić, Dejan Gašić, Nikša Perović, Miloš Radonjić, Petar Đurović, Rade Garović, Mersudin Čalaković, Nikola Spasojević, Radovan Mujović, Borko Bešović and Bojan Bešović.
The indictment stated that Zvicer ordered the kidnapping of Hodžić at the end of July 2020 because he believed that as one of the close associates of the previously murdered Alan Kožar, he knew where the latter hid money and drugs.
The indictment lists the roles of everyone in that crime, and the prosecutor's files show that Kaluđerović advised Kašćelan via the then encrypted Sky application that the bodies of the murdered Hodžić and Spahić should be "burned with car tires and acid and dimer poured into the interior of their vehicle to remove biological traces. in which vehicle they came to the alleged meeting and in which vehicle their bloody bodies were transported after the murder..."
On the same day when Hodžić and Spahić were killed, Kaluđerović informed Zvicer shortly after 20 pm that he was at the tinsmith's.
He explains to him that the tinsmith does not take the car "willingly", and then tells him what those who bring the car should do.
"Let us bring the car to the street, turn towards Rijeka Crnojevića and have the guy park it after 100 m, let him work but bring it around 18:40, because the tinsmith takes it, I clean it and that's it," ordered Kaluđerović. who is on the run.
Belivuk ordered to beat the Montenegrins
About the murder of Spahić and Hodžić, Belivuk spoke with members of his criminal group through the Sky application, according to the transcripts previously provided to Montenegrin and Serbian investigators by Europol.
According to those documents, a few hours after the liquidations in Spuž, at 19.55:XNUMX p.m., Belivuk recorded a message to Lazar Vukićević, who was kidnapped at the time:
"You're lucky that we're scolding these stupid Montenegrins here, so we can't," Belivuk explains why he's not in Ritopek with the team that kidnapped, tortured and killed Vukićević.
In the same message, he mentions Pljevlja, and an hour and a half later he sends another in which he asks for details of the torture of Vukićević and tells them "we are tired, we are dirty, we smell", and then that they are still in their boots. Then he recounted how they killed Hodžić, whom he calls Kasap, and his son-in-law.
Then, it is suspected, Belgrade mercenaries of the Kavački clan entered Montenegro illegally.
Three months after the double murder in Spuž and the kidnapping of Radulović, Belivuk and Miljković legally entered Montenegro, and the then assistant police director Zoran Lazović said that there was no need to fear the presence of those two Serbian citizens because the inspectors of the then Sector for Combating organized crime, which he managed, is "watched" 24 hours a day...
"If they are not enemies of Montenegro, there is no need to fear anyone," Lazović said a few months before the SDT announced that they were suspected of having committed a double murder three months before the lifting of the ban in Montenegro.
Lazović was arrested in the meantime, and the SDT accuses him of lifting the entry ban on Belivuk and Miljković at the request of Radoj Zvicer, who was passed on to him by his son, Petar Lazović, who was also arrested.
