The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica ordered the detention of a man from TU for up to 72 hours, due to reasonable suspicion that he committed a criminal offense - violence in the family or family community.
The ODT announced that on October 9, at around 14 pm in Podgorica, the suspect threatened GN's ex-common-law wife in front of the building where she lives.
"On that occasion, the suspect told her: 'I will kill you like my cousin killed Šejla, if I see you with someone else I will kill you and him, I will not leave you alone, you know, I am always here and follow you, and if it is not me then there are my friends who will accompany you and convey everything to me'", the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
Ilir Đokaj was sentenced in the first instance in April to a single sentence of long-term imprisonment of 40 years for the murder of his unmarried wife Šejla Bakija (19), wounding her father Šaban and illegal possession of weapons, on Karabuško polje in Tuzi, on September 30, 2021.
