ODT Podgorica: Five people detained for domestic violence

The Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Podgorica announced today that it detained five people for domestic violence.

In the announcement, it is stated that the ODT Podgorica ordered the detention of DM for up to 72 hours due to the grounds of suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of violence in the family or family community.

"After a verbal argument, the suspect hit his niece on the arm with a wooden batten and threw wooden logs at her, which hit her in the ankle joint and caused minor physical injuries," the statement from the ODT in Podgorica points out.

The announcement adds that the DM was also detained for violating the security measure, removing him from the apartment and other residential premises.

The ODT also said that the suspect DT was detained because, in the presence of the children, he violated the mental integrity of his wife KT with insolent and reckless behavior, getting in her face after a short verbal discussion and saying words that caused her to feel fear and anxiety.

In the press release, it is written that RG was also detained, because, as stated, in the presence of a minor child, under the influence of alcohol, after a short verbal argument, he hit his wife MG with an open fist in the area of ​​the head, or rather the eardrum, and then pulled her hair with his hand and thus dragged through the whole house, in order to throw her out of it.

"The suspect DP was detained on the grounds of suspicion that he easily physically injured his minor son and his wife, by, after a verbal discussion, he struck the injured wife with a closed fist in the head area, then several blows in the body area, after which he struck the minor son with a kick in the knee area, as well as one blow in the area of ​​the right side of the face," said ODT Podgorica.
