The secretary for inspection affairs and communal supervision in the Municipality of Plav Erzana Redžematović and the inspector in that municipality Dija Jasavić did not react to stop the illegal construction and illegal occupation of land by Ćaz Rugovac, the non-governmental organization (NGO) Euromost announced.
From that NGO, they said that the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) Plav announced that it was by order of that prosecutor's office. On October 15 of this year, the Plav police filed criminal charges against ER and DJ due to the well-founded suspicion that, as officials of the municipal competent inspection, they obtained benefits for a natural person by failing to perform their official duties and thus committed the criminal offense of abuse of official position, they stated in a statement from Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Plav.
Euromost states that it is Redžematović and Jasavić.
They also say that after their report, Rugovac started the illegal construction of a car wash next to the Plav lake, continued to build it and opened it, which, as they said, is the reason that, based on the criminal complaint of Euromost, the ODT in Berane filed charges against him for two criminal acts, "construction of a building without registration and documentation for construction" and "illegal occupation of land", about which this prosecutor's office informed them.
They also submitted a notification to ODT Berana about the submitted criminal charges.
Euromost warns that a large number of buildings are being built without any documentation, especially in protected areas in the municipality of Plav, as well as in the municipality of Gusinje, that this is known to all in these local administrations, local and national inspections, but that so far no one has done anything undertook.
They called, "all state institutions, especially inspections, to do their job, because it is impossible to build ethnic villages and hotels in these two municipalities without any documentation and to work without any permit in protected areas, and they are watching all this urban construction, tourism, tax and other inspections and that they do nothing".
"We also invite the ODT in Bijelo Polje to take the example of their colleagues from Plav and finally begin to investigate why the inspections in this municipality do not respond to them, because we do not remember that this prosecution has brought charges against anyone from the local administration of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje in the last two decades. for the committed criminal offense of abuse of official position, even though they had submitted dozens of criminal reports, from citizens and NGOs", concludes the statement of Euromost.
