The leader of the URA Civil Movement, Dritan Abazović, welcomed today's action by the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) and the Special Police Department (SPO), in which several people were arrested on suspicion of smuggling drugs and cigarettes for a long period of time.
In a post on Facebook, Abazović stated that "the action was carried out against the so-called 'Nikšić group' as part of the continuation of activities in the fight against organized crime with an emphasis on cigarette and narcotics smuggling."
"This is the continuation of activities started in the earlier period together with international partners, especially after the establishment of cooperation with Europol, which was crucial for delivering results. Although there are many who, with the arrival of the new majority, still want to downplay the effects, belittle the brave people who discover and work on these complex cases, or compromise the evidence - the truth always finds its way," said Abazović.
He congratulated the chief special prosecutor Vladimir Novović, the head of the SPO Predrag Šuković and their associates on the actions aimed at suppressing the activities of the OKG throughout Montenegro.
"The hand of justice does not stop. The best is yet to come. Let's move on," wrote Abazović.
