The president of the Democratic People's Party and one of the leaders of the "For the Future of Montenegro" coalition, Milan Knežević, wrote to the supreme state prosecutor, Milorad Marković, asking for information on the stage of the investigation in the case related to suspicions of abuse of official position by the former chief special prosecutor Milivoj Katnić and Katnić's then deputy Saša Čađenović.
"Dear Mr. Marković, it is my duty to inform you that my authorized representative, lawyer Dušan Radosavljević, on October 11.10.2024, 98, submitted a submission to the SDT, addressed to special prosecutor Vukas Radonjić, asking him for notification of the case under the code KT-S No. 24 /18, which refers to suspicions about the abuse of the official position of the former GST Milivoj Katnić and his deputy Saša Čađenović. Namely, for the sake of reminder, 19 months have passed since the file in the computer of the former special prosecutor Saša Čađenović was found XNUMX questions and answers that the former prosecutor Čađenović sent to Tobi Kedman, the lawyer of the former CIA agent Jozef Assad. From the questions asked and the written answers, it is clear that the former GST Milivoje Katnić and his deputy Saša Čađenović exerted undue pressure on Mr. Assad in order to falsely accuse him. leaders and officials of the former Democratic Front in attempted terrorism," Knežević wrote in a letter to Marković, as announced by the "For the Future of Montenegro" coalition.
He recalls that Toby Cadman and Joseph Asad have already given certified statements about this, while, as he says, according to his knowledge, Cadman has been questioned in the Special State Prosecutor's Office.
"Given the fact that the Prosecutor's Council has been informed about this case, and the public has been informed that a case has been opened, I have every right to turn to you so that after 18 months, as the injured party in that procedure, I will receive information on the stage of this investigation. Regardless of what have been indicted against Milivoj Katnić and Saša Čađenović in some other cases, I believe that the case of a staged coup, along with serious suspicions of abuse of official positions by former leaders of the SDT, as well as some former high-ranking state officials, is one of the priorities in the work of the SDT- a. Given that GST Vladimir Novović has recused himself from decision-making in this case, I am appealing to you as the Supreme State Prosecutor to take actions that will contribute to clarifying all the facts related to the mentioned case addressing you motivated by concern for the safety of my family and myself, bearing in mind the published SKY correspondence of suspected high-ranking police officials from the so-called of the Kavački clan, who used all mechanisms to secure a conviction at the Court of Appeal, clearly marking me as a political and security problem.
