The house of Madžgalj, where Milenka Madžgalj (69) and her brother Jovan Madžgalj (60) were killed three nights ago, is today being secured by two Bijelo Polje policemen, and their family is outraged by the failure of the authorities - both the police and the prosecutor's office, they told Vijesti.
The brother of the victims, Velibor Madžgalj, told Vijesti that the on-duty prosecutor only came to the scene the morning after the murder, at 10 o'clock.
They also claim that they would not have been without their loved ones if the police had stayed in the Bjelopolje hamlet of Sokolac on the 25th of October after they were informed that an armed man was visiting the locals.
"Over the course of the day, it was reported to them that he was walking around the villages, carrying a rifle and a rifle. They came to my brother and sister, showed them the photographer Alija Balijagić and asked if it was him, they stayed at our house for ten minutes and left. If they had stayed in "That wouldn't happen to the village. They had to stay on duty that night, because they let him kill them. He was allowed to kill them," he said.
He told Vijesti that the killer, who had lunch with his brother and sister during the day, came after the police left the village, stacked blocks under the window so that he could shoot through it, broke the glass and when Jovan got up to see what had happened , shot him.
"My brother was lying in one part of the corner. He hit the window, probably with the butt, he jumped to see what happened, and he killed him there. The sister called the police and reported that her brother had been killed, and then she too killed," he said.
The brother of the victims said that in the entire system only the Army failed.
"The prosecutor was not competent to come in the evening, but he came tomorrow at 10 or 11 o'clock. To the army's credit, they are sitting with us, but we can't even spend the night if they don't come," he said.
His brother Budimir asked that the police secure the house until they arrest the killer.
In the village where Balijagić is suspected to have killed two Madžgali on Friday evening, Vijesti reporters today found only two policemen and three pilots of the Air Helicopter Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In Tomaševo, just before the fork in the road to Sokolac, there are dozens of military and police special forces.
According to Vijesti, the police were reported from several villages in Bijelo Polje that Balijagić had been spotted, but none of the reports resulted in the imprisonment of the escaped murderer, rapist and bandit.
Mostly, the interlocutor explained, citizens reported persons unknown to them who physically resembled the fugitive.
