Forensic experts from Danilovgrad put together a complete picture of the double murder in the Bijelo Polje village of Sokolac and in the house of the victims Milenko and Jovan Madžgalje they found prints and a DNA profile of the fugitive Alija Balijagić, "Vijesti" was told unofficially from several sources.
According to the same information, traces of Balijagić's blood were found in the house, because it is believed that he cut himself on the glass.
"It was established that Balijagić was on the scene at the time of the murder, but also that he first fired a shot at Jovan Madžgalj through a broken window, and then entered the house and shot his sister. Majgalj was hit by one shot, and his sister by two. "During the investigation, two cartridges from a hunting rifle were found, and those that correspond to the rifle stolen in Bijelo Polje when fired," said a "Vijesti" interlocutor involved in the investigation.
However, the armed criminal, whose natural habitat has been the forest and the prison for decades, has not been found even after four days of the double murder, despite all the efforts of the police and the army.
Dozens of military and police special forces toured the Vraneška valley yesterday, checking everyone who came across the road, but also responding to numerous complaints from citizens.
A helicopter also flew over the villages there, and search dogs were involved in the search. However, there was no sign of the killer until last night.
According to the knowledge of "Vijesti", citizens reported that Balijagić was also seen in the villages above Mojkovac, Kolašin, near Pljevlje... None of the reports, however, resulted in the deprivation of freedom of that fugitive, but it turned out that they were men who physically resembled him.
Minister of the Interior Danilo Šaranović announced yesterday that citizens are always right when they demand security, responsibility and transparency, but that it is important to individualize responsibility and to identify all potential failures.
"Everyone who could have prevented this tragic event, but did not, will have to answer. Any error or omission must be clearly addressed and processed," he said.
Šaranović appealed to all the citizens of Bijelo Polje and surrounding towns to remain calm, but cautious:
"And to help the police by reporting any information that could contribute to the arrest of the suspect." With joint forces, trust and cooperation, we can ensure that similar tragic events do not happen again in the future," he announced.

And the president of the local community of Tomaševo Veselin Gogić said that the number of times who reported to the police that they had noticed Balijagić should not be in the foreground now, but that they should concentrate on finding him, and supporting the army and the police who are doing everything to find him .
"Whether there were omissions, let the competent authorities deal with it later, at this moment the most important thing is to locate him and deprive him of his freedom... I call on all the residents of Tomaševo and the surrounding villages to be patient and brave and to endure all this. As we can see, the army and the police were there last night. They visit those parts. Although there are false reports and I appeal to citizens not to do that, he cannot be in four different locations at the same time," he said.
However, he repeated the appeal that if anyone has real information, call the police or him.
"These days we have become convinced that the police and the army are doing everything, that they are moving around the forests and searching all areas, not only Sokolac and local roads. Of course, there are locals who know the terrain better to help them," he said.
He said he understood the fear, because there are usually elderly households in those areas.
"Locals feel fear. They call, ask if there is any information, if you know anything. At this moment there is nothing concrete", he said.
He added that he had suggested to the police that they inspect houses where no one lives, but that they told him they had already done so.
Gogić pointed out that in his opinion the security system failed, but that now the most important thing is to find Balijagić:
"Because he is very dangerous and he is armed, and later we will deal with the omissions".
