Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia are intensively searching for Alija Balijagić, for whom an Interpol warrant has been issued for a double murder in Montenegro, and who was located yesterday in the vicinity of Prijepolje and was seen in a village near the border with Montenegro.
This was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, stating that members of the Criminal Police Directorate, Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, Gendarmerie, border police and police officers from the police departments in Prijepolje and Užice are participating in this extensive search and search of extremely inaccessible terrain.
"The action is being carried out in coordination with the Montenegrin police because it is an area located near the border between two countries. The search of the terrain, where there are a large number of caves, pits and coves, is carried out with the involvement of drones, sniffer dogs, as well as special thermal imaging camera, and so far more than 80 abandoned buildings have been inspected," their announcement reads.
Recalling that the Vice President of the Government of Serbia and Minister of Internal Affairs of that country Ivica Dacic previously stated that hunters saw Balijagić with a rifle in his hands, they once again called on citizens to be careful and to inform the police immediately of any information they have about him.
