The indictment presented that Vesna Medenica, as the president of the Supreme Court of Montenegro, allegedly influenced the judge of the Commercial Court Milica Vlahović Milosavljević to make a decision in favor of her godfather Rad Arsić, and to the detriment of the "Ten" corporation, by abusing her official position through incitement. based in Moscow.
At the trial, the defendant Vlahović Milosavljević rejected the allegations of the indictment - that she illegally issued a decision adopting a proposal for the determination of a temporary security measure to secure the monetary claim of the petitioner By Rada Arsić.
Denying the commission of the criminal offense charged by the indictment, she considered it paradoxical that she was accused for passing an allegedly illegal decision on the determination of a temporary measure, despite the fact that that decision was legal and as such was confirmed by a higher competent authority - a second-instance panel of three the judge.
Vesna Medenica stated in her defense that this is a political process, that is, that the criminal-legal prosecution against her is under the baton of politics.
She also pointed out that she did not put pressure on judge Vlahović Milosavljević when deciding the case in which her godfather Rade Arsić was a party.
She stated that she did not take any action that would lead Vlahović Milosavljević to illegal behavior, threaten her or offer her a profit.
