The citizens of Vraneška dolina will begin a continuous complete blockade of the Bijelo Polje-Mojkovac main road in the town of Sljepač most on November 18 at noon, because not only were there none of the requested resignations from the top of the police, but because no one even answered them.
Residents of the Vraneška Valley demand collective responsibility and the immediate dismissal of the director of the Police Administration, Zoran Brđanin, the director of the directorate, the head of the Regional Center North, Harisa Đurđević, and all their assistants, due to the omissions in their work that caused the double murder in Sokolac near Bijelo Polje, committed by 65 -year-old Alija Balijagić.
They submitted their requests on October 28, but to date, as they say, there has been no response, which is why they are forced to take radical steps.
On the evening of October 25, Balijagić killed his sister and brother Milenko and Jovan Madžgalj.
Addressing the Presidents of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović and the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, as well as the Minister of Internal Affairs, Danilo Šaranović, they state that on October 25, innocent citizens were brutally killed, which is why their address has no political connotations or causes divisions based on national and religious affiliation.
"We will not allow the omissions that led to the suffering of our fellow citizens to be covered up and the responsibility transferred to the immediate perpetrator of that crime. By Article 28 of the Constitution of Montenegro, our state is committed to guarantee the dignity and safety of man, as well as the inviolability of his physical and psychological integrity. The state is represented state bodies in which the employment relationship has been established by persons for the performance of work that realizes the competence of that body established by the Constitution, law and other regulations", state the residents of the Vraneška Valley.
They point out that they are certain "that the tragedy occurred solely due to the ignorance of the officers of the Police Administration, who are not capable of doing the work that was given to them, and which ignorance caused their inability to react in a timely manner and prevent murders", stated the citizens of Vraneš .
They reiterated that they are dissatisfied with the work of the Police Administration, which, they claim, "did not take timely actions within its competence to prevent murders" and that they will not allow the omissions, which caused their fellow citizens to suffer, to be covered up and the responsibility transferred to the suspect Balijagić.
According to their statement, they expected Milatović, Šaranović, Mandić and Brđanin to honor them by responding to their requests and to take actions within their competence within the deadline to "determine the omissions that occurred in the service", which would result in a specific appointment. those responsible, as well as their sanctioning, and at the same time make changes in the management staff of the Police Directorate in general, including in RC "North".
"That our demands are justified also stems from the fact that the state activated all available means to find Alija Balijagić and that it was unsuccessful even if it is known that he is moving in a 'generally' very small area (three-four villages)" , concluded the residents of Vraneška dolina.
