As part of the multi-month operation codenamed "Kacema", aimed at suppressing the street sale of cocaine and marijuana in Ulcinj and Bar, the police prosecuted eight people, from whom narcotic drugs and other items were confiscated, the Police Administration (UP) announced.
The police officers of the Regional Security Center "South", the Bar Security Department and the Ulcinj Security Department participated in the action, in cooperation with the officers of the Regional Security Center "Center" and the Regional Security Center "North".
It was reported that 57 grams of substance suspected to be cocaine and 269 grams of substance suspected to be marijuana were seized in the Bar area.
"Namely, at four locations in Ulcinj, Podgorica and Rožaj, apartment searches were carried out yesterday, and on this occasion four persons LS (21) and VM (22) from Podgorica, E.Š. (29) from Rožaj, as well as DE (29) from Beran, residing in Ulcinj. They are suspected of the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs," the statement said.
The UP said that during yesterday's search of the premises used by the arrested persons, scales for precise measurement, a crusher with traces of a substance suspected to be the narcotic drug marijuana were found, and mobile phones and SIM cards, which are suspected that they were used in the commission of the criminal offense for which they are charged.
"In addition, during the search of VM's apartment, one bullet from an anti-aircraft gun was found, in relation to which event the acting prosecutor ordered the filing of a criminal report against BM (55), a relative of VM, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and It should be noted that during the implementation of this action, two persons were prosecuted on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs, as well as two for offense from the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse," the announcement reads.
"The realization of the action 'Kacem' and the prosecution of eight persons by the competent authorities for the street sale of narcotic drugs or the possession of narcotic drugs, represents another confirmation of the productive activities that the officers of the Police Directorate - Regional Security Center 'South' carry out in the field of suppressing the street sale of narcotics continuously, and all with the goal of creating a safe environment and preserving the health of citizens," the announcement concludes.
