An alleged member of the Kavac criminal clan, Nemanja Zurovac (27), was wounded this evening in Kotor, and the police claim that, according to their preliminary data, it was self-inflicted, said an interlocutor from the top of that security institution.
According to the same information, Zurovac with a gunshot wound in the area of the arm called for medical help, after which the police were called.
"Not only today, when one was injured in Kotor, but also several times, about which the High Court was properly informed, but they did not react," said the interlocutor of Vijesti.
"The place and circumstances of the injuries will be determined after the expert examination and further measures and actions under the jurisdiction of the police," said the interviewee from the Police Directorate to Vijesti.
They added that Zurovac was injured in the area of the left hand, on the inside.
Allegedly, Zurovac is currently in the police station, where information is being collected from him. The interlocutor from the top of UP said that Zurovac, whose place of residence is Herceg Novi, violated the measures imposed on him by the High Court - the ban on leaving his place of residence.
Zurovac was arrested several times and charged with several crimes. The Special State Prosecutor's Office accuses him of being a member of a criminal group that was formed at the beginning of 2017 by Radovan Mujović and Vasilije Rafailović from Kavka, and which was preparing several serious crimes. In January 2016, he was arrested for the attempted murder of two people from Tiv. He was also handcuffed for illegal possession of weapons, and in June 2014 he was suspected of ordering bomb attacks in front of the house of brothers Milivoj and Milenko Ivančević, officials of the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions.
Allegedly, he committed that criminal offense while he was in the Pre-trial Prison.
According to the special prosecutors, Zurovac was previously the target of a criminal group formed by his fellow citizen Zoran Mrvaljević, who is being held accountable before the High Court in Podgorica for preparing the murder of that fellow citizen in early 2019.
