The Supreme Court nominated Valentina Pavličić for the position of president of that court.
"The general session of the Supreme Court of Montenegro approved the proposal to nominate the national consultant of the Council of Europe for the rule of law regarding the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in the national judicial system, Valentina Pavličić, as the president of the Supreme Court," the announcement states.
It is added that the candidates were Judge of the Supreme Court of Montenegro Ana Vuković, Acting President of the Supreme Court of Montenegro Vesna Vučković and President of the Administrative Court of Montenegro Miodrag Pešić.
It is emphasized that after secret voting, out of 15 judges who participated in the work of the General Session, Pavličić received ten votes, Pešić seven, and Vučković and Vuković six.
"The general session of the Supreme Court of Montenegro will inform the Judicial Council of Montenegro about the proposal for a candidate," the announcement concludes.
