The review of the indictment against Miloš Kulić and Dejan Rovčanin, who are accused of smuggling around 60 kilograms of cocaine on the ship "Jadran", was held today in the High Court in Podgorica.
The defendants' lawyers, Marko Damjanović and Dragan Mitrić, asked the court to suspend the criminal proceedings.
The defense attorneys pointed out that the indictment is based on legally invalid evidence.
They suggested that Kulić's statement from the previous proceedings, when he gave a statement as a witness, be separated from the case file.
Rovčanin's defense attorney, lawyer Damjanović, said that Kulić, at the trial in the "Jadran" trial, said that he gave a statement under threat and pressure.
Special Prosecutor Siniša Milić remained with the allegations in the indictment and proposed that they be confirmed.
